Activating Your Account

From the moment your subscription is confirmed, your team can be live on Caolú Solar in under 30 minutes. The manager activates first, then invites the rest of the team.

    Subscribe to Caolú Solar

    Complete your subscription through caolu.ie. You will be redirected to set your password at account.caolu.ie immediately after payment is confirmed.

    Set your password

    Enter your full name and create a secure password. If you are the account manager, this account controls billing, team access, and — on Enterprise and Enterprise+ plans — the manager dashboard. Keep these credentials private.

    Complete your company profile

    Navigate to Account Settings and fill in your company details — name, address, VAT number, SEAI registration numbers, and payment terms. These appear on every proposal your team generates. See the Company Profile guide for the full field list.

    Upload your logo and set your brand colours Enterprise & Enterprise+

    Go to Account Settings → Branding. Upload your logo (PNG or SVG, transparent background recommended) and enter your brand colour hex codes. Every proposal your team produces carries your branding from the first assessment.

    Invite your team

    Go to Account Settings → Team. Enter each rep's name and email and click Invite. They receive an email with a link to set their password and are active from the moment they confirm.

    Your team accesses the app

    All users log in at app.caolu.ie/solar. Bookmark this URL and share it with your team before the first session.

Note: Each user must complete their own personal profile on first login — including their individual SEAI user number. This is required for SEAI grant automation on every assessment they run. A company-level SEAI number alone is not sufficient.

Running an Assessment

Every Caolú Solar assessment follows the same guided flow — at the kitchen table, on a telesales call, or following up a canvass lead. The app calculates and validates each step automatically. Eircode to signed PDF in under four minutes.

Property Auto

Enter the customer's Eircode. County and irradiance data populate automatically. SEAI grant eligibility is checked — built before January 2021 flagged in real time. MPRN and year built required.

Energy Auto

Select the customer's electricity supplier. Standard rate, night rate, and CEG export rate are cross-referenced against current Irish tariffs automatically. Night-rate detection flags battery opportunity before you reach the battery step.

Roof

Use the Live Compass on your phone to capture real-time roof orientation — hold the phone upright and point the top edge toward the roof face. Alternatively, switch to Map mode and select orientation from the satellite view. Pitch and shading entered manually.

Panels Auto

Select panels from the product database. System size is calculated from the customer's usage profile and roof area. String configuration is validated against Irish electrical rules automatically.

Battery Auto

Battery self-consumption is modelled against the customer's actual night-rate arbitrage, EV charging schedule, and immersion diversion. The payback figure is specific to this property and this tariff — not a generic estimate.

Add-Ons

EV charger, immersion diverter, and monitoring system. The €300 SEAI EVHS grant is flagged automatically where the customer has or is planning an EV.

Quotation Auto

SEAI grant is calculated and deducted on the face of the quotation. The customer sees the gross cost, the grant amount, and the net cost they owe. Payment link sent directly from the app.

Report Auto

PDF site assessment report generated. AI-generated follow-up email and SMS queued before the user leaves the driveway. NC6/NC7 compliance flagged automatically. Assessment saved to the manager dashboard.

Caolú Solar owns the commercial moment. Everything after the deposit is fulfilment.

Managing Your Team

All Caolú Solar plans support multiple users — invite as many reps as your team needs on any plan. The manager account controls all team access. Reps can only see their own assessments. On Enterprise and Enterprise+ plans, the manager also has access to the live dashboard, close rate analytics, loss reasons, and battery attachment reporting across the full team.

Inviting a rep

    Go to Account Settings → Team

    Log in to account.caolu.ie with your manager account.

  2. 2

    Enter the rep's name and email

    Click Invite. The rep receives an email with a link to set their password.

  3. 3

    Rep activates their account

    They click the link, set their password, complete their personal profile (including their SEAI user number), and are immediately active at app.caolu.ie/solar.

Removing a rep

Go to Account Settings → Team, find the rep, and click Remove. Their access is deactivated immediately. Any saved assessments remain visible to the manager.

Manager dashboard Enterprise & Enterprise+

On Enterprise and Enterprise+ plans, the manager dashboard at account.caolu.ie shows every assessment opened, every proposal generated, and every outcome recorded across all reps — updated in real time. Metrics include close rate per rep, loss reasons, battery attachment rate, and quote volume by day, week, and month.

Billing note: There are no seat minimums or maximums on any plan — add as many reps as your team needs. Billing adjusts automatically when you add or remove team members and takes effect at your next billing date.

Company Profile & Branding

Your company profile populates every proposal and PDF your team generates. Complete it fully before the first assessment — every quotation should go out correctly branded from day one. All settings are managed by the account manager in account.caolu.ie → Account Settings.

Branding Enterprise & Enterprise+

Custom logo and brand colours are available on Enterprise and Enterprise+ plans. On Pro and Pro+, proposals are generated using the Caolú Solar default styling with your company name and details.

    Prepare your logo

    PNG or SVG format. Recommended size: 400 × 100px or equivalent aspect ratio. Transparent background preferred.

    Upload in Account Settings → Branding

    Click Upload Logo and select your file. The logo appears on all proposals and PDF reports immediately.

    Set your brand colours

    Enter your hex codes for Primary Colour, Secondary Colour, and Dark Colour. Your graphic designer or brand guidelines document will have these. If left blank, Caolú Solar's default dark green is used.

Billing & Subscription

All billing is managed by the account manager through account.caolu.ie → Billing. Reps have no access to billing information.

How billing works

All Caolú Solar plans are billed per active user per month with no seat minimums or maximums — add as many reps as your team needs on any plan. Plans are feature-gated only: the tier you are on determines which features your team can access, not how many people can use it.

Changes take effect at the next billing date. Adding a rep mid-month does not generate a mid-month charge. Removing one does not generate a credit within the billing period.

Cancellation: Your team retains access until the end of the current billing period. On cancellation, you may request a full data export within 30 days. All data is purged within 60 days.

Data, Privacy & GDPR

Caolú Solar is built to Irish and EU data protection standards. Your customer data stays in Europe. GDPR consent is captured automatically on every assessment.

Where your data is stored

  • ·All data stored on EU West servers in Frankfurt, Germany. Nothing touches US infrastructure.
  • ·Post-Schrems II compliant by design — not by retrofit.
  • ·Payment processing handled by Stripe — PCI DSS compliant. No card data is stored by Caolú.
  • ·Bank details stored with AES-256 encryption at rest. Never exposed to browser sessions or rep accounts.

Your responsibilities under GDPR

As a Caolú Solar subscriber, you are the Data Controller for your customers' personal information — names, addresses, MPRNs, and energy data entered into the app. Caolú acts as your Data Processor, processing it solely to deliver the service.

GDPR consent is captured and timestamped automatically on every assessment. Your team is compliant without any additional steps.

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the most common questions from Irish solar professionals using Caolú Solar.

The SEAI Solar Electricity Grant is calculated automatically on every assessment based on the system size in kWp. The 2026 rate is €700/kWp for the first 2kWp, plus €200/kWp for each additional kWp, up to a maximum of €1,800 (capped at 4kWp). The grant is deducted on the face of the quotation — the customer sees the gross cost, the grant amount, and the net cost they owe.


For the grant to apply, the property must have been built and occupied before 1 January 2021, and the user must be SEAI-registered. Both are checked automatically when you enter the Eircode and year built in Step 1.

The Live Compass uses your phone's gyroscope to capture the real-time orientation of a roof face. Hold the phone upright in portrait mode — not landscape — and point the top edge toward the roof. When the needle steadies, tap Lock. This gives Caolú Solar the exact azimuth for the irradiance calculation.


Use Map mode instead if you are quoting remotely or following up a canvass lead where you are not on site. Map mode lets you set orientation from the satellite view using the direction dropdown.

After every assessment, Caolú Solar generates a personalised follow-up email and SMS written around the specific details of that quote — the customer's name, their system size, their projected savings, the SEAI grant amount, and the net cost. It is queued automatically before the rep has left the driveway. The customer hears from you within minutes, not days.

Yes — this is available on all plans. At Step 7 (Quotation), Caolú Solar generates a payment link that can be sent directly to the customer via email or SMS. The customer can pay their deposit before the rep has left the property.


On Enterprise and Enterprise+ plans, the payment link options (Stripe, Revolut, or bank transfer) are configured centrally by the manager in Account Settings, and the assessment is marked as deposited in the manager dashboard immediately on payment. On Pro and Pro+ plans, the payment link is set up directly by the user.

NC6 and NC7 are ESB Networks notification requirements for connecting a solar PV system to the Irish grid. Systems under 50kWp require an NC6 notification. Systems over 50kWp require an NC7. The correct notification type is flagged automatically on every assessment based on the system size — the rep does not need to determine this manually. The notification must be submitted by the installer to ESB Networks before commissioning.

The Clean Export Guarantee (CEG) is the rate Irish electricity suppliers pay homeowners for surplus solar energy exported to the national grid. In 2026, rates range from 15c to 32c per kWh depending on the supplier. Caolú Solar cross-references the customer's selected supplier in Step 2 and applies the current export rate to the financial model. The €400 annual tax-free export income allowance (Budget 2026, extended to end of 2028) is also factored in automatically.

The SEAI Solar Electricity Grant requires the specific registered installer who carries out the installation to be identified on the grant application. A company-level SEAI number alone is not sufficient. Each rep enters their own individual SEAI user number in their personal profile — Caolú Solar then references it automatically on every assessment they run.

The manager dashboard is available on Enterprise and Enterprise+ plans. It is accessible at account.caolu.ie and shows every assessment opened, every proposal generated, and every outcome recorded across all reps — updated in real time. You can see close rate per rep, loss reasons, battery attachment rate, and quote volume by day, week, and month. Reps can only see their own assessments — they have no access to other team members' data or to the dashboard.


On Pro and Pro+ plans, the account manager has access to team management and billing but not to the live sales analytics dashboard.

Go to account.caolu.ie and click Forgot Password on the login screen. You will receive a reset link by email. If you have lost access to your email or are locked out entirely, contact support@caolu.ie and we will resolve it directly.

Caolú Solar is mobile-first and works on any modern smartphone or tablet. The Live Compass roof orientation tool requires a device with a built-in gyroscope — any current iPhone or Android handset will have this. For the best experience, use Google Chrome or Safari. The app also works on desktop and laptop for remote quoting and telesales calls.
